Michael F. Mckenzie

Michael F. McKenzie, the former owner of D-O-R Engineering, is now the President of Prize Petroleum, LLC which is based in Lafayette, LA. He earned his Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University, and has been a Registered Professional Engineer since 1980. During his career, Mike has worked for major and independent oil companies in all phases of petroleum engineering. For twenty three (23) years, he was president of D-O-R Engineering and managed a staff of engineers and geologists specializing in drilling, operations and reservoir matters. In the early 1990’s, Mike was instrumental in establishing a large, secure landowner-based repository for digital 3-D seismic data. This innovative tool is a valuable asset to our landowner clients and provides a library of information for qualified prospectors. Mike remains a valued advisor and stockholder in D-O-R and brings a wealth of management and consulting experience.
